Portable charging for home, travel and backup
Keep a practical charging option with you when a suitable power outlet is available. This portable EV charger is offered with Type 1 or Type 2 vehicle connectors, 10A or 15A Australian mains plugs, and a choice of 3.5m or 10m cable.
Ideal for planned overnight top-ups at home or while travelling, it gives you an alternative to public charging infrastructure. Always confirm permission and electrical suitability before using an unfamiliar outlet.
Choose the right configuration
- Vehicle connector: Type 1 (J1772) or Type 2 (IEC 62196-2), matched to your vehicle’s AC charging inlet.
- Mains plug: 10A or 15A Australian plug, matched to a suitable rated outlet.
- Cable length: 3.5m for nearby outlets or 10m when you need additional reach.
The Type 2 version is the listed choice for compatible Australian Tesla vehicles, including Model 3, Model Y, Highland, Juniper and YL. For other EVs, plug-in hybrids or imported vehicles, check the exact charging inlet and requirements before ordering.
Which cable length should I choose?
The 3.5m cable suits parking positions close to the outlet and is easier to pack away.
The 10m cable provides extra reach where the outlet is further from the vehicle. Measure the safe cable route before ordering, allowing slack without stretching the cable, crossing accessways or creating a trip hazard.
Charging performance
This is a single-phase AC charger, not a DC fast charger. Actual charging speed depends on the permitted current, supply voltage, vehicle, battery conditions and charging losses.
A suitable 15A supply can allow higher charging power than a 10A supply, but added driving range per hour is not guaranteed. Check your vehicle’s charging estimate for the actual session.

Important electrical safety information
Never set the charging current above the permitted rating of the outlet, circuit, plug, charger or connection equipment. A selectable setting does not mean it is suitable for your supply.
Do not select more than 10A on a 10A outlet or more than 15A on a 15A outlet. Confirm the supplied unit’s permitted current settings before use.
A 15A plug must not be modified to fit a 10A socket. Do not use improvised adapters, powerboards or extension equipment that is not explicitly approved for the charging arrangement.
Outlet condition, wiring, circuit loading and electrical protection matter. Have a licensed electrician assess an unfamiliar or questionable supply before prolonged charging. Built-in charger protections do not replace a suitable electrical installation.
Outdoor use
The listed IP65 rating does not make every mains plug, socket and connection waterproof. Follow the supplied outdoor-use instructions, keep connections appropriately protected and never immerse the equipment or leave it in standing water.
Stop using the charger if cables or connectors are damaged, a connection becomes unusually hot, or a fault repeatedly occurs. Follow the supplied fault guidance and arrange assessment rather than bypassing protection.
Charging while travelling
Before charging at a caravan park, motel or someone else’s property, confirm permission, the available outlet, electrical suitability and any charging fees. An accessible socket is not automatically approved for EV charging.
This charger supplies energy to a compatible vehicle. It does not provide vehicle-to-load power for camping appliances.
