- Phone connection — CarPlay / Android Auto shortcut

- Brightness — manual or auto (follows the car)
- Open any door — front passenger, left rear or right rear, straight from the screen
- Battery warm-up — precondition the battery before Supercharging for faster charging
- Digital clock — full-screen clock mode, tap to exit
- Seat massage shortcut — on vehicles that have the massage seat feature
Plug-and-Play Installation
No cutting. No coding. Trim panels unclip, the T-harness plugs into the factory connectors, and you choose from three mounting positions: steering column, dashboard or silicone vent cover. Allow about 45 minutes to 1 hour with our guide and video.
Please choose your car model at checkout — each model uses a different wiring loom.
Keeping It Up to Date (OTA Upgrade)
Tesla changes its software regularly. When it does, update the display so it keeps reading your car's data correctly. Do this after installation and after any Tesla software update where something on the display stops working. Each upgrade takes about 5 minutes.
Step 1 — Connect to Wi-Fi
On the display, open Settings and connect to Wi-Fi — your car's Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot.
Step 2 — Open the Software page
In Settings, tap Software (bottom of the left-hand menu). You'll see your current APP and MCU version numbers, a row of car buttons (M 3, M 3H, M Y, M YJ, M YL) and an MCU button.
Step 3 — MCU upgrade
Tap the MCU button. Wait about 5 minutes for it to finish.
Step 4 — APP upgrade
Tap any car button, then tap MCU again to update the app. Wait about 5 minutes.
Step 5 — Select your car
When the app upgrade finishes, tap the button for your car:
M 3 = Model 3 (2020–2024) · M 3H = Model 3 Highland · M Y = Model Y (2020–2024) · M YJ = Model Y Juniper · M YL = Model YL 6-Seater
Don't skip Step 4. It's the step most people miss. If you only do the MCU upgrade, the app isn't updated and the display won't work properly with your car.
